Coprosma chathamica Cockayne, Trans. & Proc. New Zealand Inst. 34: 317 (1902)

• Type: L. Cockayne & F. Cox [2403] (January 1901; lectotype: WELT SP051558; isolectotypes: AK(-AK8717, -AK37336), MIN-MIN1000696; possible isolectotypes: NY-NY00131136, WELT SP051557).
  • Note: Cockayne does not designate any collection number. The number 2403 was mentioned by Oliver (1935: 122) and the specimen was re-determined by Khadija Aziz in 18 June 1979.
• Type locality: [New Zealand.] Chatham Island: Whangamarino.
