Diagnosis: Specie Coccotrema magellanicum similis sed ab ea differt isidiis destitutis et praesentia acidi stictici. Coccotrema pocillarium etiam simile sed id differt thallus minoribus praesentia acidi norstictici. Ascomata ignota.
Type: U.S.A. Alaska. Skagway Borough, Chilkoot Trail, several hundred meters N of Trail Crew Cabin on rocky section of trail between Canyon City Camp and Pleasant Camp, 59o37.224'N, 135o19.615'W, on Tsuga twigs, 138 m, 03 Aug 2008, T. Spribille 27163 & S. Pérez-Ortega (NY, holotype; ALA, BG, KLGO, isotypes)
Habitat and distribution: Corticolous on fine Tsuga twigs in elfin forests, currently known only from the study area.
Etymology: Named in memory of Meg Hahr, natural resource program manager of Klondike Gold Rush National Park from June 2002 to May 2006, who died tragically in a bicycle accident on June 21.
