  - Typus: Gay s.n. (P [as Calandrinia longifolia; photocopy at US; cf. P01900015^{(CRIA, GBIF, JSTOR)}, under number '314', from 'Prov. de Coquimbo (...) dans les cordillères de Guanta']).
  - Type locality: Chile.

Hershkovitz (1991) cites Werdermann 1046 (leg. Francke; UC, US [US03613509 (1474434)^(GBIF), collected on November 1925]) as an occurrence of this species in Antofagasta, being worried about misidentification. The US specimen was re-determined with C. chrysantha? by D. Ford in March 1996.
