- Type genus: Cistus L.
Synonyms
editNotes
edit- Pakaraimaea transferred here from Dipterocarpaceae (APG, 2016 & Ducousso et al., 2004)
- Cistus and Halimium form a natural monophyletic clade and could be synonymised under Cistus (Guzmán & Vargas, 2009), but they are more often found as segregates Govaerts et al. (2022) cf. Hassler (2022). The intergeneric hybrid × Halimiocistus and its species would then become redundant and subsumed into Cistus s.l..
