• Type locality: 38º30'27" N, 140º90'1" E; Yamagata Prefectural Nature Conservation Park, Mt. Gassan, Nishikawa-machi, Nishimurayama-gun, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan.
• Holotype: TNS; TNS-AL-56996 (resin-embedded vegetative cells from culture strain GsCl-11).
