Name

Chlorella stigmatophora Butcher, 1952

• Type locality: First isolated by Dr [Mary] Parke (Bruce et al. 1940) from a sea-water sample collected at Port Erin, Isle of Man, sub Chlorella sp. Subsequently found in the River Crouch, Essex [England].
