Type locality: Kenya. Kiambu District: Limuru, near Limuru Girl 's High School, 1°07′S., 36°40′ E., wet evergreen forest with Macaranga, Fagara macrophylla [= Zanthoxylum gilletii (De Wild.) P.G.Waterman], Chrysophyllum gorungosanum [≡ Gambeya gorungosana (Engl.) Liben], Polyscias kikuyuensis and understorey of Dracaena afromontana, Peddiea volkensii [= P. fischeri Engl.], Lasianthus, Pauridiantha etc., 2300 m.
