- Lectotype: C.L. Ledermann 9898 (in flower, 30 November 1912; WRSL [fide Ding Hou, Blumea 24(1): 5 (1978)]; Isolectotypes: K [K000695548(GBIF, JSTOR), ex B], L 0015602(GBIF, JSTOR) [ex B]).
- Syntype: Ledermann 12936 (in fruit, 16 August 1913; WRSL).
- Type locality: Nordost-Neu-Guinea [= Northeastern PAPUA NEW GUINEA].
- Lectotype: Sepik-Flußgebiet, Lordberg, 1000 m, in lichtem Bergwald mit wenig Moos, im Unterholz Baumfarne, Zwergpalmen und Bambus.
- Syntype: Felsspitze, 14–1500 m, in buschwaldähnlichem Gebirgswald mit vielen Epiphyten und Moos, auf felsigem, nassem Gelände.
