Briquetia Hochr., Annuaire Conserv. Jard. Bot. Genève 6: 11. (1902)

  • Type species: Briquetia denudata Chodat & Hassl., in Hassler, Addenda Pl. Hasslerianas 16. (1917) originally designated as synonym Briquetia ancylocarpa Hochr., Annuaire Conserv. Jard. Bot. Genève 6: 11 (1902)

Note: Bovini (2015) proposed splitting this genus into two with Briquetiastrum Bovini, Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 72(2): e022: 2, figs. 1-3 (2015) as a new name for three combinations. However, this is a nom. illeg. hom. non Briquetastrum Robyns & Lebrun (1929) and so this proposal is illegitimate until the request by Dorr & Gulledge (2017) is resolved.
