Diagnosis: Species nova imprimis thallo verrucis elongatis radiantis instructis perspicua; apothecia apotheciorum Bapalmuiae palmularis similes; ascosporae 25-35-septatae usque ad 130 µm longae.

Type: COSTA RICA. Limón: Hitoy cerere Biological Reserve, 120 km ESE of San José near the Atlantic coast, 9o 41' N, 83o 02' W, 100-200 m, lowland rainforest, foliicolous on Cryosophila warscewiczii (Arecaceae), III. 1991, R. Lücking 91-1266 (Costa Rica, holotype).
