- Type locality: Great Zimbabwe, southern Rhodesia.
- Type: fig. 5, J: December 1957; rain-water pools on low granite outcrop between Acropolis and Valley of Ruins; associated with 'Rosy Rotifer' (Philodina roseola) and a second, much larger rotifer, also rosy.
