Lectotype: BMNH 1947.1173, adult ♂, skin and skull. [designated by Mahoney (1968: 67)]

Type locality: “Baiyanka, Purari-Ramu Divide, South-East Bismarck Range, North-East New Guinea [=Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea]. Altitude 6500 ft [=1980 m.].”
