• Type locality: Stara planina Mts, Central Balkan National Park, Bulgaria.
• Holotype: 2004-07-01; phycobiont of Lepraria borealis, on sunlit slate rock; CAUP; TYPE-H 1009 (cryopreserved photobiont cells isolated from the specimen Bayerová 3401).
