Classification System: APG IV
Superregnum: Eukaryota |
Familia: Lauraceae
Tribus: Laureae
Genus: Apollonias
Species: A. arnottii – A. barbujana
Name
editApollonias Nees Hufeland. Ill. 10. (1833)
- Type species: Apollonias canariensis (Willd.) Nees (1833) vide Apollonias barbujana (Cav.) Bornm.
Note: "Persea can be retained as a genus by the inclusion of Apollonias barbujana" {Li et al., 2011), A. arnottii will probably group with an Asian genus, such as Machilus or Phoebe (Li et al., 2011 & Rohwer et al., 2009). Govaerts maintain this genus in synonymy with Persea, but Apollonias arnottii Nees becomes an Unplaced name.
