Name
editAnemone L., Sp. Pl. 1: 538 (1753); Gen. Pl., ed. 5: 241 (1754). nom. cons.
- Type species: Anemone coronaria L. typ. cons.
Synonyms
edit- Homotypic
- Heterotypic
Note: This is a view of Anemone s.s. excluding Anemoclema, Anemonastrum, Anemonoides, Eriocapitella, Hepatica, Knowltonia and Pulsatilla; see Govaerts et (2021) cf. Hoot et al. (2012), which is now largely followed by Hassler (2021), as recent evidence (Jiang et al. 2017) now supports a narrower circumscription of this genus.
