Note: Type: Agathelpis angustifolia Choisy (1824) nom. illeg. superfl. = Agathelpis dubia Hutch., Botanist S. Afr.: 127 (1946) vide Microdon dubius (L.) Hilliard, Tribe Selagineae: 12 (1999). Therefore, there is uncertainty regarding the status of this genus with some authorities considering it a synonym of Microdon Choisy (1823). However, the above combinations have no equivalents in Microdon (Tropicos, 2024).
