Type: CANADA. British Columbia: Glacier National Park, Bear Creek Falls, 51°18'N, 117°25'W, 6 Aug 2005, Goward 05-659 (holotype: UBC).
Ecology and distribution: This species is known only from the type locality, where it was found on Tsuga heterophylla bark at 0.5-2.0 m above the ground in a waterfall spray zone with Parmeliopsis ambigua, Lepraria sp. and a species of the Micarea prasina group.
