Holotype: IADIZA-CM 6367, adult ♂, skin and skeleton.

Type locality: “Argentina: Mendoza Province: Quebrada de la Vena, ca. 7 km SSE of the village of Uspallata, 32º39.405'S, 69º20.970'W, 1,880 ± 150 m.”
