Talk:Passeroidea

Family Estrildidae is now part of Passeridae. Families Thraupidae, Icteridae, and Emberizidae are now part of Fringillidae. See Sibley's Bird Checklist or Zoonomen for details. Avibase is outdated at this point. --Scuila 19:50, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not so; it is Sibley that is out of date, these are all accepted as separate families. See e.g. IOC, which is kept thoroughly up to date. - MPF 16:37, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just curiosity -Why my edit was reverted? See [1] it mentions 'Alaudidae'. Is it because it is included in the superfamily Sylvioidea?

Alaudidae belong to Sylvioidea not Passeroidea. Burmeister (talk) 22:28, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
