Talk:Nymphaea odorata

Source: "The Herb Book" John Lust June 1983 printing. Properties and uses: Antiseptic, astringent, demulcent. A tea made from white pond lily root makes a good gargle for irritation and inflammation in the mouth and throat. It can also be used as an eyewash and an antiseptic vaginal douche. As a lotion, it helps to heal sores and to make the skin soft and smooth. Both the root and the leaves are sometimes made into poultices for wounds, cuts and bruises.
