Johann Georg Luehmann was my Great Grandfather. I'm sorry but you have his name a bit off. There is and never was a W. and the German spelling of George is Georg. He was known as George however to his family and probably his friends.

I have quite a bit of info - letters written by him to his father in Germany (Translated into English) and a number of rare photos of him.

You will notice the spelling of our sir name has changed. JG Luehmann's son, my grandfather changed our name from Luehmann to Leeman about one hundred years ago.
