Heard back from two, so far. I put it up on one science blog I am on. It is very definitely considered valid, no matter how it is placed. Some even consider it to be geographic/ecological variant on Homo habilis. What with most recent publication of skull material from Dmanisi, H. erectus georgiana has fallen out of favor with most.
