Eliot (1969) described Epimastidia celebica from Sulawesi, but this is now included in Jamides as Jamides celebica. In my copy of the original reprint from The Entomologist, Eliot has written in the margin: "This is rubbish! I seem to have made a ridiculous mistake by wrongly transcribing my notes. This species should have been described under Pepliphorus or Jamides. Epimastidia is allied to Danis".

Hirowatari, 1992, included celebica in Jamides, to which he has also shown Epimastidia to be allied.
