There is some debate as to the validity of this genus. Most scientific papers now place this genus as a synonym of Pagrus. Fishbase continues to identify this genus as distinct, with C. auratus as the sole representative. Since the majority of scientific literature place this genus in Pagrus, I have followed their lead here........Pvmoutside 13:37, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
