Ophiolebes brachygnatha H.L. Clark, 1911

Type locality: Albatross: station 4804, off Simushir Island, 46°42'N 151°47'E. Depth: 229 fathoms, coarse pebbles, black sand, bottom temperature 35.9°.
Syntypes:
MCZ OPH-3236, 1 specimen.
USNM 25592, 3 specimens.
Etymology: from the Ancient Greek: βραχύς, brakhys (short), and -gnatha (jaw) in reference to the unusually short, wide jaws.
