Name

edit

Octavius inoptatus Puthz, 2006: 7, figs. 17, 18

  • Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA, [Western Cape]: S. Cape, Mt. Helderfontein, 150 m, 33.56S–20.52E, sifted fynbos.
  • Holotype: DNMNH # 1561, ♂, 8.iii.1979, Endrödy-Younga.
  • Etymology: Since the discovery of every one of these minute species makes their identification more difficult I name this species ‘undesired’ (= Lat. inoptatus).
