      • Type locality: "Ad novam Hollandiam [Australia]. Specimen vidi in collectione musei Parisiensis.". Lectotype: Saenger & Ducker; 1971; LD 42807 (Phillips 2002: 225). Isotype: PC. (As C. Agardh specified the plant in PC as "Fucus N:o 24, mus. Paris.", perhaps this should be the type).
