Please delete all of the pages created by this IP

Hello fellow translation admins! Could anyone of you please delete all of the all of the pages created by IP 2601:681:300:8700:EC0E:F444:9225:B6DA? They are all supposed to be Nepali translations (which they are not) and there's only four of them, but I'm really pressed for time right now. :-) Thanks beforehand!

By the way, I've already blocked the IP for a period of two weeks.–Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 09:31, 6 April 2021 (UTC).[reply]

@Tommy Kronkvist: since the overall translated page at Wikispecies:Collaboration with ZooKeys and PhytoKeys/ne does not need deletion, its just the individual translations that need handling, and those can be done by any normal admin, not just one that is also a translation admin. Specifically, the following pages should be deleted:
  1. Translations:Wikispecies:Collaboration with ZooKeys and PhytoKeys/2/qqq
  2. Translations:Wikispecies:Collaboration with ZooKeys and PhytoKeys/1/ne
  3. Translations:Wikispecies:Collaboration with ZooKeys and PhytoKeys/Page display title/ne
and you should be able to delete those yourself. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 17:35, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Thanks for specifying the finer details. The pages are now deleted. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 12:05, 8 April 2021 (UTC).[reply]

Help:Translation should be re-translated

Please note that Help:Translation needs to be re-translated, particularly the first paragraph of the page. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 07:28, 9 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]

The same goes for Wikispecies:Localization which amongst other changes now have a new Commonly used conjunctions etc. subsection, currently not set up for translation. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 09:26, 28 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]
@Tommy Kronkvist: please note that Wikispecies:Localization is fully protected so only administrators will be able to set up the missing translations --DannyS712 (talk) 04:32, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Thanks for reminding me. The protection is now lifted for a week (at most) to allow autoconfirmed users, i.e. all but unregistered or very recently registered users. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 11:36, 29 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]
Thanks - I've set up the missing translations and marked the page for translation, should be good to go now --DannyS712 (talk) 11:39, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please translate the "2FA-required" template

The {{Template:2FA-required}} should be translated. It was created using an equivalent template at Meta-Wiki which may perhaps also act as model for the translation, especially regarding the wiki links back to Meta-Wiki pages. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 23:01, 3 August 2021 (UTC).[reply]

I have set up the template for translation. --Ameisenigel (talk) 12:54, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I've since added translations in Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese (as well as Brazilian Portuguese) plus Russian, Spanish, and my mother tongue Swedish. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 17:43, 5 August 2021 (UTC).[reply]
Tackar Tommy! --Sabelöga (talk) 21:06, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Translation for Indonesian language

For all translation administrators, I need to translate Wikispecies into Indonesian language because it's my native language

--PutriAmalia1991 (talk) 02:20, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @PutriAmalia1991. Part of the site is already translated, and you can find Wikispecies’ bahasa Indonesia main page here: Halaman Utama. You can change language settings for the user interface in your user preferences. Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 02:54, 13 August 2021 (UTC).[reply]

Add Balinese and Javanese languages

The page for Balinese and Javanese pages have been created, please include them in the template. Thank you.

Chinamoonroll (talk) 00:42, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 02:01, 22 September 2021 (UTC).[reply]
@Tommy Kronkvist: sorry, the java version has been placed under the name "Jawa", now it's duplicated. Thanks for adding Balinese.
Chinamoonroll (talk) 03:33, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Chinamoonroll: there is one page titled Tepas (suggested by you above, according to Wikidata in Sundanese language, Basa Sunda: Q21447801) and one called Pendhapa (created in June 2020, added in April 2021, in Javanese according to Wikidata, Basa Jawa: Q21474049). Is the one suggested by you a duplicate of the old one, but listed in the wrong language? –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 05:37, 30 September 2021 (UTC).[reply]
@Tommy Kronkvist: Isn't wrong, but I mean the link for the Javanese version in this template is duplicated, the one as "Basa Jawa" and the other "Jawa".
Chinamoonroll (talk) 10:00, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Chinamoonroll: So which one should we keep: "Tepas" or "Pendhapa"? Here are th details:
  • The link named "Basa Jawa" links to a Wikispecies page with the file name Tepas. As I said before, according to Wikidata that page is listed as a "Wikimedia multilingual project main page in the Sundanese language". See the corresponding Wikidata page here: Q21447801, where you will again see a backlink to the Wikispecies page "Tepas", but also links to the "Tepas" main page in Wikimedia Commons, and to the "Sunda" main page in the Wikisource project.
In other words:
  1. At least one of the two Wikispecies pages is wrong, or
  2. At least one of the many pages listed at Wikidata is wrong, or
  3. At least one page in both Wikispecies and Wikidata are wrong.
Unfortunately I can't easily fix this problem, mainly since I don't know neither Javanese nor Sundanese. I'm sorry about that. I'll bring it up on the Translation Administrators' Noticeboard in order to get more help. I suggest we continue the discussion there. Regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 21:54, 3 October 2021 (UTC).[reply]

The above discussion was copied from Template talk:Languages and regards the template at Template:Languages. Please continue the discussion here.

@Tommy Kronkvist: I mean the link in this page Template:Languages, you just find with keyword "Jawa" and you will found that duplicated problem. Regards, Chinamoonroll (talk) 05:06, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

───────────────────────── Hello again Chinamoonroll. Well, here are the two pages (and the three language links in the {{Languages}} template) that are involved:

  1. Before my changes today the link saying "Jawa" led to a page called Pendhapa. This is supposed to be a page in the Javanese language. International language code "jv". In Javanese script the language is called ꦧꦱꦗꦮ.
  2. Before my changes today both the link saying "Basa Jawa" and the link saying "Sunda" led to a page called Tepas. This is supposed to be a page in the Sundanese language. International language code "su". In Sundanese script the language is called ᮘᮞ ᮞᮥᮔ᮪ᮓ. In other words not Javanese, even if you wrote:

The page for [[Kaca Utama|Balinese]] and [[Tepas|Javanese]] pages have been created, please include them in the template.

in your very first message above.

I've now made the following two changes to the {{Languages}} template:

  1. The "Basa Jawa" link has been changed and now leads to the Javanese Pendhapa page. I have removed the "Jawa" link, as it would be a duplicate of the "Basa Jawa" link.
  2. The "Sunda" link is unchanged, and still leads to the Sundanese Tepas page. As I said above, the "Basa Jawa" link has been changed and is no longer a duplicate of the "Sunda" link.

I hope this settles all of the confusion. Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 09:59, 4 October 2021 (UTC).[reply]
