- Holotype: SMNK ARC2525 (EMBL # LM655862), ♂, 06-XII-2011.
- Etymology: This species is named in honour of Alfred Russel Wallace (1823–1913) for laying the foundation of research on the Natural History of the Indo-Australian Archipelago.
