Slearmlarp Wasuwat

Slearmlarp Wasuwat (August 22, 1929 – April 12, 2014), Thai botanist.

Wasuwat graduated agricultural science and animal science from Kasetsart University (Bangkok, Thailand) and University of Mississippi. Wasuwat held a Ph.D. in pathology and genetic science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA. He was a visiting professor in agricultural science in the Kasetsart University. In 1978 Wasuwat began research for a rubber tree plantation in Thailand, and came to study and do research on the lotus and water plant. He is sometimes mentioned as "Father of the Thailand Waterlilies".
