Type locality: Challenger station 232. Japan, Sagami Bay. 35°11′00″N 139°28′00″E / 35.183333°N 139.466667°E / 35.183333; 139.466667. Depth 345 fms.

Syntype: BMNH 1890.5.7.404-405 [1].
