Typus: J. Gillet 1740 (July 1902; syntypus: BR {BR0000008851604^(JSTOR), BR0000008851611^(JSTOR)}) et L. Gentil s.n. (syntypus).
- Note: Bremekamp (1934) treated Van de Rijst[H. Vanderyst] 9570 (BR [BR0000016158252], collected in Kwango Distr. between the rivers Ipamu and Pangnu) as type of this name.
Type locality: Congo Belge[The Democratic Republic of the Congo]. Vallée de la Djuma.
