Notoscopelus kroyeri (Malm, 1861)

Holotype (unique): NMG Pi.su. 219 (stomach content). Species originally as Scopelus kröyeri [not kröyerii as in Eschmeyer et al. 1998]; according to Art. 32.5.2.1 of the Code, if the name is not based on a German word, the "e" should not be added; correct is apparently Scopelus kroyeri.

Type locality: North Atantic.
