Summary
DescriptionNorthern Microseris (7789720014).jpg
If you've visited the Longmire area recently you may have noticed the numerous tall dandelion-like yellow flowers currently in full bloom there. These flowers are not a species of dandelion but actually Northern Microseris (Microseris borealis, formerly Apargidium borealis). They are often an indicator of wetter ground, preferring open meadows and fields (like the Longmire Meadow). Photo taken August 3, 2012.
