Neogoniolithon strictum (Foslie, 1901) - calcareous red algae on a shallow subtidal limestone rockground.
This red alga has a heavily mineralized skeleton with subcylindrical, irregularly bifurcating branches. It sits on a rockground of aragonitic calcarenite limestone (Hanna Bay Member, upper Rice Bay Formation, Holocene).
