Summary
DescriptionGladiolus debilis IMG 0462.JPG
English: Gladiolus debilis. This species is sometimes called "The Little Painted Lady", from a fancied resemblance to the larger Gladiolus cardinalis, the "true" painted lady.
Observed in Helderberg Nature Reserve, Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa. The markings in the petals vary greatly from plant to plant. Some plants' flowers are ornate, with multiple spots, some have only one per petal.
