Description
Español: Es un endemismo ibérico, suele encontrarse en terrenos pedregosos, con muy poco espesor de suelo, o incluso sobre la misma roca.

Se conocen otras "formas" más de alfileres de roca y no existe acuerdo total en el detalle de estas divisiones, sobre si deben considerarse como especies o como subespecies

Es la planta nutricia de otra de la joyas del Caurel; la subespecie "peigleri" de la mariposa Aricia morronensis


Preocupante por su escaso número de poblaciones, por lo cual esas pequeñas poblaciones pudieran verse afectadas por obras en los crestones donde vive, tales como instalación de antenas, repetidores, generadores eólicos y nuevas pistas.


No se constatan amenazas sobre ellas que permitan explicar su reducida presencia.
